

Dr Tiffany Cone is an interdisciplinary social scientist trained in cultural anthropology, with a focus on identity, social transformation, and pedagogy. Originally from New Zealand, she has conducted research and taught in Australasia (Australia), East Asia (China), South Asia (Bangladesh), and the Middle East (UAE and Qatar). She uses ethnographic filmmaking as both a research method and a tool for public engagement and, as a trained mindfulness teacher (MMT), incorporates contemplative practices into pedagogy to foster critical reflection and embodied learning.
From 2016 to 2021 she was an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh. From 2021 to 2023 she was an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Social Sciences in the College of General Education at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar.
