Dr Tiffany Cone is an anthropologist and filmmaker from New Zealand with teaching and research experience in Australasia (Australia and NZ), East Asia (China), South Asia (Bangladesh) and the Middle East (UAE and Qatar). She holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the Australian National University and a BA(Hons) in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Otago.
Her primary research areas are psychological anthropology, visual anthropology and pedagogy in higher education (active and applied learning, contemplative pedagogy, equality and access in education).
From 2016 to 2021 she was an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh. From 2021 to 2023 she was an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zayed University, Abu Dhabi. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Social Sciences in the College of General Education at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar.
